How to get to the Resource for Biocomputing, Visualization, and Informatics

The RBVI is located on the UCSF Mission Bay campus in Genentech Hall (see campus map).

Here's a link to current traffic conditions: Bay Area Traffic Report. If you're driving you can park in either the Third Street Garage near the corner of 3rd and 16th Streets, or in the Community Center Garage on Owens Street.

If you are using public transportation, 511 Transit provides a wealth of information for planning your trip. The San Francisco Muni T-Third Street railway line stops at the UCSF Mission Bay Station located on Third Street near 16th Street. If you're coming from another UCSF campus location on one of our shuttle buses, the shuttle stops on 4th Street.

Once you're on campus...

The main entrance to Genentech Hall is on the north-east corner of the building adjacent to Koret Quad, to the left of a large set of circular steps. Visitors must sign in at the security guard station. Use the elevators immediately behind the guard station and take one to the 4th floor. The RBVI is at the far end of the building, on the right (north) side of the main corridor. Call the phone number listed above if you have any problems or would like to be escorted from the security guard station.
