ἐκεῖθεν δὲ γράψαντος αὐτοῦ Καῖσαρ ἥσθη τε σωζομένῳ, καὶ κελεύσας πρὸς αὑτὸν ἐλθεῖν οὐ μόνον ἀφῆκε τῆς αἰτίας, ἀλλὰ καὶ τιμώμενον ἐν τοῖς μάλιστα περὶ αὑτὸν εἶχεν.
οὐδενὸς δ᾽ ὅπῃ φεύγοι Πομπήϊος εἰπεῖν ἔχοντος, ἀλλ᾽ ἀπορίας οὔσης, ὁδόν τινα σὺν τῷ Βρούτῳ βαδίζων μόνος ἀπεπειρᾶτο τῆς γνώμης.
