A Finger found — whose is it?

--On Saturday night, as the watch were making their rounds, one of them discovered on the pavement on Broad street a neatly-folded package, which he picked up, and, unfolding it, found that it contained the first joint to the thumb of what appeared to belong to the hand of a white female. The police have endeavored to ascertain whose it is, and under what circumstances it was cut off, but as yet have been unsuccessful. It has been deposited at the upper station- house, where parties able to throw any light over the matter are requested to call and examine it.
