Confederate States District Court, yesterday

--Judge Halyburton presiding.--Hon. William H. Macfarland concluded the argument for the plaintiff in the case of William Barrett es A. P. Woods, Confederate States tax collector for the city of Richmond, on a motion for an injunction to restrain the payment of taxes and to compel the collector to receive four per cent bonds in payment of said taxes in lien of gold and silver. Mr. Macfarland's argument occupied the whole morning in its delivery, when the case was given to the Judge, who deferred his decision in consideration of its great importance. [Over $230,000 are involved in the decision of this suit alone, besides the several millions in taxes that the decision must effect one way or the other as a precedent.]

A writ of fleri facias was awarded to summon a jury to try Mrs. Mary B. Yates, indicted for misdemeanor.

The court adjourned till 11 o'clock this morning.
