Enterprise in the Post-office Department.

--The Piedmont railroad, as the general public is aware, has been completed for more than a week past, and the great bulk of travel and Government stores find ready and expeditious transportation over the line, by which from one to three days a time are saved from Richmond to the South. Not withstanding this, however, we have the triweekly spectacle of an old "one horse concern," in the way of a mall cart trudging along from Danville to Greensboro', carrying Mr. Reagan's mail bags. If the total want of enterprise and intelligent effort for the promotion of celerity and efficiency in transporting the mails were not too serious a matter for laughter, it would be difficult to restrain one's risibilities in witnessing the mail-cart trudging alongside the railroad engine, carrying the C S mails.-- Danville (La) appeal, May 28th.
