The Markets

yesterday were better supplied with vegetables, &c., than they have been for some time back. Prices were somewhat reduced, though there is still room for much further decline. Green peas were held at $5 per half speck, early York cabbage $3 per peck, lettuce $1.50 per dozen, straw-berries $4 per quart, eggs $8 per dozen, and other articles in proportion.
