Bartholomew J. Nash was tried on the charge of stabbing Michael Walls, on the 8th of April last, and was acquitted. It was proved on the trial that Nash cut Walls's head not with a knife, but by ramming it through a pane of glass, during a personal rencontre> between the parties.
