Died of his wounds.

--Detective Joseph L. Wootters, who was by mistake shot by one of the guards on duty at Castle Thunder on Tuesday last, died at three o'clock on yesterday from his wounds. With the exception of the exclamation which spasmodically escaped his lips at the time of the accident, not the slightest syllable was uttered by him, nor did he show any signs of consciousness up to his last breath. His funeral will take place this morning at 11 o'clock from Union Station Church.
