Assaulting the high Constable.

--There appeared before His Honor the Mayor yesterday morning a man named George P. Bowers, who was arraigned on the charge of assaulting Mr. George A. Freeman, the High Constable of this city. For his temerity in interfering with this high functionary, Bowers was required to give security in the sum of $500 to keep the peace for twelve months.
