Committed.

--A negro man named Toney, slave of William Redy, of South Carolina, was arraigned before the Mayor yesterday, charged with being a runaway. Toney said he came on here with an officer belonging to a South Carolina regiment, but when he arrived in this city the gentleman with whom he was travelling did not have money enough to pay his way home, and therefore left him here. The Mayor ordered his commitment to prison till called for.
