--The city yesterday was remarkably quiet and free from all excitement. A thorough exploration from Rocketts to the Fair Grounds failed to afford the reporter a single item, and at a late hour in the day, tired and discouraged, we settled down in our sanctum anxiously hoping for "some thing to turn up."
