Suicide.

--On Monday night last, Mr. Birdsong Howard, of Greenville, South Carolina, committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope. He had for some time been in feeble health, suffering from palsy, and for the purpose of assisting himself in getting into and out of bed a rope had been attached to the joints above. With the lower portion of this rope, it seems, be made a swoons during the night, and slipping it on his neck thus terminated his life.
