Anticipated Invasion of the upper Valley.
By passengers from Staunton yesterday morning we learn that a report was current there that the enemy in considerable force, under Gen. Kelley, were advancing on Harrisonburg from Moorefield, by way of Brock's Gap. What foundation there may be for this report, we have no means of judging. On the other hand, we have a statement that the force which recently visited Winchester have retired. Their withdrawal from the Valley was hastened by the burning of a bridge in their rear, from which it is supposed they drew the inference that the rebels were again about to be precipitated upon them.
