Acquitted.

--The Cass of the Commonwealth vs. Samuel T. Forbes was tried before a called Court on Thursday, the 2d instant, at Appomattox Court-House. The defendant was charged with the murder of Crawford Jones and tried for that offence. His defence was based upon the allegation that Jones had violently assailed the virtue of Mrs. Forbes. The trial excited great interest in the county and occupied two days. After hearing protracted arguments from the counsel engaged, the Court unanimously discharged the prisoner.
