The Post office and its hours of opening.
At all times, and at this time particularly, the mails arriving in this city should be distributed as soon as possible, and the office kept open for their delivery. This is not the time, when thousands are anxiously awaiting news from their relatives in the army, to keep the office closed. Yesterday evening the Central mail, with letters from the army, arrived at 6 ½ o'clock. The bags were taken to the office and there laid until this morning. The office was not open yesterday evening, and the anxious public had to wait until this morning. In the interest of humanity, something be done by the proper authorities to rem this edit.
