Public Hiring of Negroes.

--Will be hired at ‘"Wakefield,"’ the farm next adjoining Mr. George W. Doswell's, in Hanover county, on Wednesday, 31st of December, 1862, about 40 Negroes, consisting of Men, Women, Boys, and Girls. They will be hired as farm hands and house servants — in no instance to labor on works of internal improvement, or in occupations considered hazardous; and with the further express understanding that they are not to be retired by those who hire them publicly, without the written content of the undersigned. Bonds with approved security will be required in every instance.
