Runaway in jail.

--Was committed to the jail of Louisa county, Va., as a runaway, on the 1st day of August, 1862. a small negro boy who says his name is Charles, and that he belongs to Lieutenant Joseph West, of the 2d Louisiana regiment. Said boy appears to be about ten years old; is short and thick set, and of a brown color. He has on a blue sack coat and drab jeans pants. His owner is requested to come forward, prove his property, pay charges, and take him away, or he will be disposed of as the law directs.
