a paragraph in your paper with the above heading. I decide it proper to mention the board of your forces M. None themselves with more gallantry and bravery than he. He was on the battle field from surly down of Sunday until the dusky of Monday then name of it will be instantly recognized by many of your citizens, as he was raised and them until .... why called by men from your .At the first call of volunteers from the State of his name was among the first to be enrolled to the rescue of his country. He attached himself to a cavalry company formed in the country of River over 10 months ago. under the combined of the known Captain Mont country, and was called the Bellvaz Troop — a name that is well-known through the Western army. This company was attached in June, 1861. to battalion of Mississippi cavalry, and was highly complimented for its gallantry at the battle of Belmont. Me., fought on the 7th of November, 1861 Mr. Whent had been in four or five hotly contested engagements, among which were the battles of Belmont and Shiloh. May the rents of the Southern army be filled with thousands of the same stamp and durability.
