I decide it proper to mention the board of your forces M. None themselves with more gallantry and bravery than he. He attached himself to a cavalry company formed in the country of River over 10 months ago. under the combined of the known Captain Mont country, and was called the Bellvaz Troop — a name that is well-known through the Western army.
This company was attached in June, 1861. to battalion of Mississippi cavalry, and was highly complimented for its gallantry at the battle of Belmont. Me., fought on the 7th of November, 1861 Mr. Whent had been in four or five hotly contested engagements, among which were the battles of Belmont and Shiloh.
May the rents of the Southern army be filled with thousands of the same stamp and durability.
