Local defence.

--Attention is requested to the advertisement headed. ‘"For Local Defence," ’ in the defence of the Confederate capital. Recruits will not be required to go in the field, but will be retained in this city.--We assure those desiring to join a good company that it will be to their advantage to call at the place designated, as the officer about to raise the company is a gentleman, and a soldier also, having been in service since the commencement of the war, in the capacity of a 1st Lieutenant.
