Fast driving.

--Mr. Hudson Ford's negro boy, Charles, was brought before the Mayor yesterday, for violating the ordinance relative to fast driving. The evidence showed pretty plainly that he had been emulating John, the ancient horseman, in driving furiously, and a stalwart policeman was directed to take the colored brother to the yard of the city jail and go through certain exercises, which the Mayor hoped would be beneficial both as precept and example.
