--We learn that the members of this famous battery (who in General Holmes's army have acquired the sobriquet of ‘"Walker's Hounds"’) have re-enlisted for the war, with very few exceptions. This is no more than was to be expected of men commanded by the gallant R. Lindsey Walker. It is said that the latter is now recruiting in Richmond to raise a battalion. The members of the Purcell battery have always done their duty and deserved the praise received by them from their commanding General.
