Fatal accident.

--The Shreveport (La.) Gazette has the following:

‘ On Friday, the 3d inst., Alexander Nicholson, of this parish, was galloping, with three other young men or boys; his horse taking a sudden sheer, ran against a tree, killing the youth almost instantly. He lived but an hour, and never spoke after the accident.--His untimely death has brought mourning upon a most excellent family, and we truly sympathize with these.
