A Splendid Battalion of Artillerymen left the city yesterday, for some point nearer the enemy's cannon. They presented a fine appearance on the street. If they make for themselves such a reputation as the Washington Artillery from New Orleans, has already won, they will be heroes in the eyes, not only of the present, but of all future generations.
