Suicide.

--F. Gurden, a gentleman from New Orleans, about 30 years of age, committed suicide at the Metropolitan Hotel in New York, Friday, where he was stopping, by taking arsenic. It appears that he arrived from Boston on the 19th ult., and put up at the hotel. He seemed to be without friends, and appeared disinclined to make acquaintances. Previous to his death he stated to the doctor that a young lady, of New Orleans, to whom he had been attached, was the cause of his troubles.
