Texas Convention.

Galveston,March 8.

--On the 4th inst. the Convention declared Texas out of the Federal Union. Gov. Houston has issued a proclamation to that effect.

The Convention has passed an ordinance authorizing the appointment of delegates to represent Texas in the Provisional Government.

Vessels sent by the Federal Government will not be seized.

Gov. Houston, it is said, will not resign, nor take the oath of allegiance.

The Convention is discussing the ordinance defining treason.

Col. McCullough has been sent with a detachment of Guards to the upper forts.
