Casualty in New Orleans.
--As Messrs. Gavin and J. W. Gilmore, two medical students, were ascending the steps of the Charity Hospital, at New Orleans, on Thursday last, a revolver fell from the pocket of the former, struck the steps, and exploding sent its ball into the stomach of the latter, causing his death a few hours afterwards. The deceased, an Alabaman, was a fine looking young man of 23 years, and much beloved by his fellow-students, among whom his death has cast a gloom.
