U. S. Naval Courts-Martial Abroad.
--The Navy Department have dispatches from the East India squadron, dated Hong Kong, 14th December last. Lieut. Bayse N. Westcott had been tried, and sentenced to be dismissed from the squadron, and suspended from the rank and command for a year, on furlough pay. Richard Hewson, a seaman, had been found guilty of mutinous conduct, and sentenced to forfeit all pay due him, and be confined for a year, in the District of Columbia, without pay. Commodore Stribbling had been left, by Mr. Ward, (the returning American Minister to China,) in charge of the Legation, as acting American Charge d'affaires adinterim. The health of the squadron was good.
