A Real drama on the Stage.
‘ --Our readers may remember the real drama which took place lately on a Sunday evening, at an amateurs' performance at the German theatre on Poydras street. One of the actors, named James Steiner, who had to be killed in the play of "The Wolf," by John Kruger, another of the amateurs, was stabbed in the neck with a real dagger, and carried away, bleeding profusely. After lingering for several weeks, Steiner died yesterday at the Charity Hospital. He was a native of Prussia and 26 years of age.’ N. O. Pic.,Nov. 23d.
