Educator; born in Henry county, Ind., June 21, 1842; graduated at Iowa College in 1870; became Professor of Constitutional History and Political Science at Iowa College in 1885. He is the author of Civil government in Iowa; A government text-book for Iowa schools; Our government; Institutional beginnings in a Western State, etc. [65]
