3. A Lacedaemonian, was sent by the Peloponnesians to Aspendus, in B. C. 411, with two gallies, to take charge of the Phoenician fleet, which Tissaphernes had promised them. But Philippus sent notice front Aspendus to Mindarus, the Spartan admiral, that no confidence was to be placed in Tissaphernes ; and the Peloponnesian fleet accordingly whither Pharnabazus had invited them.
