κλύω , ipf., w. aor. signif., ἔκλυον, κλύον, ἔκλυε, aor. 2 imp. κλῦθι, κλῦτε, redupl. κέκλυθι, κέκλυτε: hear, esp. hear willingly, hearken to prayer or entreaty; hence very often the imp., κλυ_θί μευ, ἀργυρότοξε, κέκλυτέ μευ μυ?θων, Α 37, Od. 10.189; also implying obedience, τοῦ μάλα μὲν κλύον ἠδ᾽ ἐπίθοντο, Η 379, Od. 3.477; w. participle, ἔκλυον αὐδήσαντος, Il. 10.47; freq. w. acc. of thing heard.
