THYME´NA

THYME´NA (Θύμηνα), a place on the coast of Paphlagonia, at a distance of 90 stadia from Aegialus. [p. 2.1195]gialus. (Arrian, Peripl. P. E. p. 15; Anonym. Peripl. P. E. p. 6.) Ptolemy (5.4.2) mentions it under the name of Thymaena, and states that it was also called Teuthrania.
