THIAR

THIAR a town of the Contestani in Hispania Tarraconensis, between Carthago Nova, and Ilici (Itin. Ant. p. 401). Variously identified with San Gines and Orihuela, near which latter place are many ruins. (Florez, Esp. Sagr. v. p. 30, vii. p. 124.)
