Neon

（Νέων). An ancient town in Phocis, at the eastern side of Mount Tithorea, a branch of Mount Parnassus, destroyed by the Persians under Xerxes, but rebuilt and named Tithorea (Τιθορέα), after the mountain on which it was situated (Herod.viii. 33).
