mentioned only once (Fest. 59)- clitellae dicuntur .. . locus Romae propter similitudinem et in via Flaminia loca quaedam devexa subinde et accliva (cf. English 'saddle'). The nearest portion of the via Flaminia which can be described as being up- and downhill is close to Castelnuovo di Porto (JRS 1921, 151-154).
