The same house does not always tread the path of good fortune. One fate after another pursues us. It takes one man from his loftiness and settles him in low estate, another it raises up and makes blessed.

It is not possible to flee from fate, no one by skill can ward it off, and the man who is eager to do so shall always toil in vain.
