This letter is in response to one by Gov. Shettor, when transmitting the of the Legislature to Miss Sansom.--Streight and his man were captured in Cherokee within a few of Miss Sansom's

I must acknowledge the receipt complimentary communication of November 27th, 1863. and in doing so, tender my gratitude for the more than expected respect shown having done my duty.
