Returned to their posts. --Lieutenant English, and Quartermaster's-Sergeant Whittaker, of Company "C," First Virginia Regiment, who were wounded at Bull Run, departed for Manassas yesterday morning, influenced by a desire to participate in another brush with the enemy. Capt. J. B. Smith, leader, and Messrs. Melton, Buckley, and Hirahberg, members of the First Regiment Band, went on by the same train. Lieutenant E. C. Crump, who has been at home for a short time on furlough, started for the West yesterday, having in charge a large number of packages for his company, the Richmond Sharp Shooters. The Chasseurs-a-Pied, of Louisiana, a fine company, commanded by Captain Henri St. Paul, left by the Central train for a point (as they expressed it) "where the battle rages the hottest."
