To the Editor of the Dispatch:
I see it stated in some of the journals that Cabell's battalion of artillery in the present campaign lost heavily in men and guns.
Allow me, through the columns of year valuable journal, to contradict this.

Our battalion consists of batteries, all under command of Col N C Cubell.
The following is a list of casualties:
Manley's (N C) Battery — Killed: Private L Wounded: H seriously through shoulder.
Artillery — Killed: A Lee and L Porter.
Wounded: Lt Thee A severely in foot; J W Belsher, thigh J W secretary in in arm.
