evening, the following members being in attendance: Messrs. Saunders, Grattan, Denoon, Haskins, Crutch Wynne, Epps, Scott, Burr, Griffin, Hill, and Glazebrook. Mr. Grattan, from the Finance Committee read a report in regard to the remission of tny of sale assessments if they shall be satisfied such assessment is not correct. The report was concurred in. Mr. Burr offered the following resolution, which was adopted: Resolved, That the Auditor of the city he instructed to receive was authorized to sell the $3,000 of the bonds of the South Side Railroad Company owned by the city. On motion of Mr. Burr, Messrs. Kent, Paine & Co. were authorized to act as auctioneers for the balance of the fiscal year, on the payment of tof the families of volunteers of the city, to be applied under the direction of the Soldiers Aid Fund. On motion of Mr. Burr, the sum of $2,218, was appropriated for the purchase of a dredge coat, steam tug-boat, lighters, and other property att
