The Legislature.
In the Senate, yesterday, Mr. Alderson introduced a resolution inquiring into the expediency of making an appropriation for the purpose of repairing the damages sustained by the Virginia Central Railroad on account of invasions of the public enemy.
The resolution was agreed to.
Mr. Collier introduced a series of resolutions complimentary of our arms, especially those of Virginia and Maryland, and returning the thanks of the General Assembly to our Generals and the men and officers under their command.
