Independence, Mo., June 24 --The Santa Fe and Cannon City Express arrived last night, being two days ahead of time. Col. J. B. Grayson has been ordered to Washington, and would leave in one week Dr. W. S. King, of the medical department, came as passenger, to report himself at Washington. The armistice entered into between the Government and the Camanches, on the 11th of May, has again been broken by the latter.--On the 27th of May a large body of them came to Hicks' ranche, and drove off a large number of horses, cattle and sheep. Capt. Duncan, U. S. Army, with his small force, followed, killing one, wounding three, and taking several prisoners. He succeeded in re- capturing some of the cattle. Officers of the United States Army continue to resign, and are leaving via the Southern route. The Fifth and Ninth Regiments are reported to be withdrawn.
