Extra session of the Provisional Congress of the Confederate States.Fourth day. Montgomery, Ala., May 2. Congress assembled to-day at noon, and, after prayer, the Journals of yesterday were read and confirmed Mr. Morton, of Florida, announced the arrival and presence of the Hon. George T. Waul, elected Deputy to Congress by the Convention of Florida, to supply the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. J. Patton Anderson. Mr. Waul came forward, by the invitation of the President, and was qualified. Mr. Morton then moved that the vacancies on the several standing committees, created by Mr. Anderson's resignation, be filled by the name of Mr. Waul. The motion was agreed to.
