Apps

What will you build?

Hundreds of developers are already using the Zamzar API to power their file conversion apps. Below are a handful of our favourite apps that use our API. If you have an app you would like us to feature, feel free to tell us about it.

  • Dropbox Converter (C#)

    by Michael Walsh

Enhance your Dropbox with the ability to automatically convert files with the Dropbox Converter. Specify your desired conversions (e.g., "docx to pdf") in a JSON configuration file, then simply add files to your Dropbox. The converted files will be stored back in your Dropbox.

  • Hot Folders (Python)

    by Joe Anderson

Hot Folders monitors file system paths, automatically converting new files according to your preferences (specified in a JSON configuration file). We like setting our web browser's "downloads" folder as a Hot Folder that converts RAR and 7Z archives to ZIP format.

  • Zamzar Bash

    by Zamzar

Harness the power of the Zamzar API in your terminal, using Zamzar Bash. This script adds the zamzar command to your UNIX toolkit, allowing you to write shell scripts to automate all of your file conversion needs. Convert directly from the command line.

Zapier Integration

by Zapier

Zapier is a productivity tool that seamlessly connects over 1,300 business apps, such as Gmail, Slack, and MailChimp. Zapier helps to automate routine processes and repetitive tasks without the need for coding or technical resources. You can use Zapier to connect the Zamzar file conversion API to any of these apps. For example automatically convert files added to a Dropbox folder into a different format, or convert new Gmail emails to PDF for archiving.

Make Integration

by Make

Make is an online automation platform that allows you to connect apps and automate workflows in a few clicks. Similar to Zapier it allows users to "glue" different apps, API's and services together even if you have no previous experience of writing code. Hundreds of different apps are supported, and you can use Make to connect them to the Zamzar API:
