Look of the Week: Canadian Lumberjack
One of my favourite Vancouver bloggers, Tairalyn of Little Miss Mama, inspired me to go lumberjack-chic after she posted her too-cute take on the cozy winter look a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I did not have a 'lumberjack-y coat, and so I froze my tail off taking this photos. The price we pay...
I found my plaid shirt while thrifting a while back (details to follow on Thrifty Thursday), and had declared I would buy it even if it didn't fit, just because the rose gold studs were so awesome! Thank god it fit. It's getting extra chilly out now, so thick socks are a must, as are my Olympic 2010 mittens; there's nothing wrong with a little patriotic spirit while staying warm. I forgot how early it's been getting dark these days, so by the time we got around to taking photos we were almost out of light! To my delight, all the local shops in Edgemont Village were still lit up, with many of them featuring sparkling Christmas window displays. All I needed was a peppermint hot chocolate to feel perfectly in the season!
Speaking of which, as I start to get into exam-mode (thus procrastination mode), I'll be pinning ideas to my Classy Christmas board on Pinterest. Follow me there, or wait here for me to unveil an inspiration post on some fashionable treats to get you in the festive mood!
