Love Royal mail!!

Royal mail is honest about the whereabouts of your parcel. They accidently sent my parcel to another depo and was honest about it and apologised and re-routed my parcel immediately. And the postmen/women are always polite. I should of used them before to send my parcel instead of parcel force whom sent my parcel elsewhere and could not recover it and was lying and unapologetic about it, and I still do not know where my parcel is.

Stolen Packages

Great for National packages (Tracked 42 Hours) but extremely poor when receiving international parcels.

When I used to send tracked packages to the UK they would get stolen regularly by Royal Mail. I’d constantly find that my items would go missing, and customer service would be of no help nor would I receive any compensation.

A lot of times they’d pretend they attempted to deliver without knocking or ringing the doorbell multiple times in order to steal it.

Eventually I moved to England, and noticed that when sending packages within the UK it was no longer an issue.

Canada post have never stolen a package from me before and I’m perfectly aware of this as the package would always Disappear after having entered the UK, albeit not straight away

The most reliable deliveries in our…

The most reliable deliveries in our building. I always breathe out a sigh of relief when I see a parcel has dispatched with a Royal Mail tracking number. THANK YOU! Our postmen are lovely, polite, friendly and always manage to get into our flat building and manage to deliver where there are always complications with other courier companies. Please keep it up.

Lost items and late deliveries all the…

Lost items and late deliveries all the time.They never pay for the lost items.3 stars not because they deserve it just because from all the companies in uk they are the most realiable, expensive as hell but the most reliable. Iam not British, the place i come from this kind of things never happen, the sytem here is weird. Drop parcels outside house, at the door and miss addresses, how come?:)) Did not know that is possible till i moved here.Back in my country i used to work with my father for years and years, we had a busniness and in all the time iv been there never had a missed item or a customer complain for an item left outside. How are the couriers allowed to do it? It's a broken system.Ridiculous...

Never shows any information

Nothing shows up on the website or app as having been purchased. I have bought several "stamps" online including for collection and tracking. According to the website I've bought nothing in the last 12 months. Things have been collected though, but you're in the dark. I checked something has been delivered but according to the tracking info its still at a post office. Rubbish really

Royal Fail

I had a very important item that
needed to be collected today.
Royal Mail emailed me to tell
me that:


Unfortunately, we couldn’t collect
due to the following reasons:

ZL999076687GB - There didn't seem
to be anyone in when we called.

I was in. I was next to a window most of the
morning and early afternoon. I was listening
and I heard and saw NOBODY come to the
main door of the building who looked like
a representative of Royal Mail. In short…
you didn’t call. The item that was to be
collected was outside my door. This is
is a very sensitive issue and legal people
are involved.

Now I have to wait until my next day off
work and sit around (again) for a no-show.

Also; it would be nice if Royal Mail could
accept my reply email.

Thanks Royal Mail. You failed me once again 👍

Going downhilll

Going downhill ,we get sporadic deliveries. No post -then a massive glut.
1st class letters taking 3-4 days to arrive.
Sad to see the decline.

Royal mail claims

Unfortunately had a parcel sent to a customer that was lost I gave the customer a refund and submitted a claims form.
The response was superb and have been given a full refund in less then a week other company's should learn thank you.

Not the same

Twice have falsely claimed that the property was inaccessible despite taking time from work and being home all day, but then parcel is re-routed and due for delivery today yet still not showed up.

No way to get anymore information online can only trying and work with the ‘tracking assistant’ which is quite frankly not fit for purpose and just repeats the same useless information.

Should have been an easy experience

I purchased and paid for a parcel to be picked up from my home, opting for them to print labels and customs form which they supplied when they collected the parcel. Labels were put on to the parcel when it was collected by my regular post person. The parcel then made its way through the postal offices before being sent on its way to Heathrow. The next thing I knew the parcel was back in my home city needing a £2.50 payment at the delivery office before I could retrieve it. When I did pay and got it back it had a sticker on it saying that a customs label needed to be attached to enable it to be processed. I Had completed this, along with the address labels for Royal Mail to print out and attach to the parcel. I did get a refund of the postage and £2.50 paid to recover the item after various calls to Royal Mail and a compensation amount. Was not happy because I was given conflicting information about why if did not get on the plane at Heathrow.

Charging us more for worse so-called service ce

My daughter posted a card to my grandson along with hers. He received mine but never received hers. A week later only half of my birthday cards arrived. When they did arrive they were all bundled together in a rubber band. Obviously they were waiting till I got several. This could be disastrous if someone is waiting for an important document. Our previous postie used to deliver to each door now they come all together through the front door to our 7 flats. I am 81 and disabled, so this is not helpful.

Impossible to contact

My tracking has been the same for days now (we've received your parcel) and i definitely should have received my parcel at home by now. Trying to contact royal mail to see what the issue is and i just keep getting put back to the same page online with all the answers that are irrelevant. Where's the live chat or phone numbers????

Using the post office for my parcel

Delivered my parcel to the post office at 09.18 on Monday 05/08/24.
I used next day with tracking and a signature option.
Later that day The eBay buyer asking me when I was going to post the item.
I told him I had already posted it and sent him a copy of the receipt.
He had used the tracking number which informed him that the post office was “expecting delivery”.
So he thinks I haven’t posted it.

Surely a “We have your parcel” when you drop it off wouldn’t be too hard to do.

After contacting the helpline at 17.45 I was advised that my parcel was still awaiting processing at one of their collection centres.
I think I will be using another company for my parcels in future.

Now almost 21.00. Tracker info still says “we are expecting your delivery”

At this rate the package will be delivered tomorrow and tracking will still say “we are expecting your delivery.
What is the point of paying for a tracking service with Royal Mail !

Still nothing 01:30 06/08/24 except “we’re expecting it”
Then
We’ve got it. Sometime between 01:30 and 06:30.

Update. 06/08/24 around 15:00 Parcel delivered safely and promptly. Just a pity that the tracking information is lacking.
My parcel was delivered many many hours ago. It’s now 21:30 and the tracker is showing awaiting delivery. Absolutely appalling.
No way will I be using Royal Mail again.
DPD or Evri for me next time.

(Parcel was delivered yesterday)
Tracker now says
In Transit.
Your item has now reached Home Counties north Mail centre and will now be sent to your local deliveries office.
FOR GODS SAKE ITS BEEN DELIVERED.
ROYAL MAIL YOUR TRACKING SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL

Update. 07/08/24 10:00
Contacted Royal Mail by phone.
They inform me my parcel is still in transit. Even though it was delivered yesterday lunchtime.
Formal complaint logged.
UTTER SHAMBLES SERVICE.

What the hell. I just received a message saying my parcel was delivered today.
When everyone knows it was delivered yesterday lunchtime.

RM. A TOTAL DISGRACE.

Over the last six weeks I have had…

Over the last six weeks I have had three special delivery before 1 o’clock items not arrive, but Royal mail send a text stating that I was not home. No card through letterbox, I was specifically waiting for items. No redress , no complaint procedure. Incompetent firm do not trust.

why can't we give them zero stars they are rubbish

why can't we give them zero stars, they are dreadful. They deliver every four days, if I am lucky. I have one letter box marked "ALL POST HERE" painted on it, and an illuminated bell push, but today the postie had trouble with his English, and refused to deliver because he was confused by the instruction "RING THE BELL" on the address label, couldn't work out how to put it in the letter box, and returned it to the sender. How moronic are royalmail, or rather snail mail. what a bunch of inbreds

Tracked 48: 48 hours? No,48 days (if you're lucky)

I was expecting a parcel. Tracking said it was out for delivery. Over a week later it's still out for delivery. Royal mail investigated, the manager can't find it but says they'll keep looking. I've heard this before. Meanwhile I have to contact the seller who wants to wait a month to see if it turns up. Then I have to get a refund and start all over again. Why isn't there an automatic trigger if a tracked parcel goes out for delivery but isn't actually delivered? Royal Mail is still operating in the early part of the last century (and delivering its parcels).

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service , have been waiting nearly a week for an item.to be re deliverd to my local post office after a failed delivery. No help what so ever from Royal Mail. No wonder they are loosing market share

Very poor service

Very poor service, they should put as much effort into delivering parcels as they do into the made up excuses why they couldn’t deliver. Customer service is non existent. Once they decide to deliver you’re then reliant on the postman….second time in the last week he decided not to bother coming.
