So far so goof - for price, policy cover, and sign-up process

I have responded to a request for review, but having only bought the House Insurance Policy 3 days ago, I have no experience of a claims process.
I can say that I looked carefully at many policies before I chose, and the Admiral Policy was one of the best for cover provision and at a better price than companies with comparable policies and equivalent level of cover.
Also the sign-up process was good and smooth. So far so good and happy with my choice.

I like the honest approach of Admiral

I like the honest approach of Admiral - With a short notice insurance time window they did not increase the quote, which most other companies did ! Some large household names.
An honest approach is what you want from an insurance company, gives you confidence that if the worst were to happen they would be there to support you.

My current insurance company who I have…

My current insurance company who I have been with for 7 years would not insure me as I made the transaction from diesel to EV. I went online and requested a quote from Admiral the process for quotation was quick and easy and Iwas happy with the price. I will be moving my other policies over to Admiral to save even more.

Good product at a good price

Our home insurance providers had decided to stop providing home insurance and transferred their business to Admiral. As our house had been underpinned, albeit 25 years ago, we were concerned how much our home insurance would increase by. We shopped around, but if any insurance company was willing to quote, many weren't, the quotes were twice as high as our previous home insurance.
Admiral were a bit slow to get in touch, but not only were they willing to quote, but their quote was very competitive. In the end we were very happy with the service and the price of Admiral's product.

I needed to replace my previous home…

I needed to replace my previous home contents cover, so it was my first time using Admiral Insurance
It was pretty straightforward,I spoke to someone on the phone and they went through what I sort of cover I wanted, then told me how much it would cost.

Most competetive EV Insurance quote\

Easy to do it online and the best and most competitive EV quote out of all suppliers.
It seems team at Admiral has understood the trend that there will be a lot more EVs and by offering the best and realistic price (I had a difference of £1000 in comparison with my other insurer)....Super impressed.

Good experience so far.

We were impressed with the clarity of the documents we received following our conversations on the phone with their representative. He was patient and helpful. We asked lots of questions and most of them he answered straight away, but if he didn't know he found out.
He allowed us time to review the documents and be sure about what we were agreeing to.
We were pleased that there were alternatives to online contact.
There was a long delay in receiving the documents through the post, but that could have been the postal service.
I did try to register our interest online but found the website confusing. It needed to be more straight forward and perhaps less gimmicky.
Obviously we have not made a claim, so cannot comment on that aspect. But so far we are satisfied with the service we've received.

Online process easy to use

Easy online process when choosing Car Insurance - which was competitively priced. Even though there was a hiccough making changes online it was quickly sorted by using the ‘chat room’.

Good insurance cover for a fair price:

I was connected to a person who spoke good, clear English, who knew what they were doing and were easy to communicate with. The result was that I felt it was simple to state what I wanted and needed from the insurance and the resulting price of the cover was right and the price was very fair.

Easy enrolment and decent price

I could not find an insurance to insure a brand new car, I searched and searched, found Admiral in a comparison site and booked in no time. A little high rate but cheaper than a few others. I am happy so far

Getting quotes and using the Admiral site to buy my van insurance was a quick and (virtually) painless process.

Straight forward to obtain an online quote

It was straight forward to obtain an online quote for my motor insurance and (importantly) to then pay the annual premium. This against the backdrop of Direct Line unable to take the premium at the time, then taking it and then denying that they had !

My Policy with Admiral

Taking out the policy was easy and quick. The only fly in the ointment, was me being unable to cover myself to drive other people’s cars ( with their permission) on this policy.

Pay online not over the phone

Was put through to a guy who asked for my credit card details and then didn't connect me to a secure line. Told him I was unhappy so he put me through to a secure line with pre-recorded announcements which sounded more legit...but afterwards he wanted to know my security number. It felt very unsafe and against all standard advice on using banking details online so ended up paying on the website using secure server. Didn't sound like a legit guy. He said he was working from home in India.

Hidden Costs....beware!

Went through whole process arranging insurance, paid and received docs only to find Admiral had only included me as a driver.and not my wife. Then had to pay extra to add my wife. Their original quote should have included my wife from the outset. As a new customer to Admiral I am far from impressed and now not feeling confident I am fully coverer.

Website clear & easy to use but we had…

Website clear & easy to use but we had several high item items for which we provided photos & original receipts. We were then asked to provide valuation certificates at a significant cost which take 2-3 weeks to get. Admiral have given us a month to provide these otherwise they’ll remove them from the insurance.
