BFPO services awful

So many Post Offices have zero knowledge on how to send BFPO parcels or what Blueys are (blue self seal envelopes that are free of charge to send to bfpo destinations). This is very annoying. The military has been around longer than the post office. This is not new and it helps those that are deployed have a little piece of home. Start representing them better.

Sauchie Post Office

Sauchie Post Office, angry little bald man behind the counter. If a customer gets it wrong, a simple explanation and a smile goes a long way. Snapping at me saying I should learn how to read instruction get you an entry here.

Cancellation Fee Rip Off

I cancelled my PO car insurance literally 10 hours after taking it out because I spotted a mistake in the insurance, which when I contacted them to correct it made the premium prohibitively expensive.

Despite the insurance not due to start in over 3 weeks time, and having only taken out the insurance a matter of hours earlier, they have stilled charged me £25 to cancel the policy. A total rip off!

This should be a 0 star review

Went to cash a voucher and was told "we don't take these here". Advised the operator that it said "can be cashed at any P.O". He said "my scanners not working". I reminded him that he had just scanned my parcel. At that point he went wild. Shouting and swearing using many variations of the f word. Sticking first a finger and then his fist just millimetres from my face. Said that "you come in here cashing your f word benefits" Advised I was now barred from his shop. P.O, complaints dept said that they had little control over the operator. That they were sending me a £30 voucher for my trouble advising that I went to another branch to cash it. No information on what or why the operator said what he did would be disclosed. I would not be informed of any corrective actions. Where did it all go wrong?

I went to the post office to drop off…

I went to the post office to drop off an Amazon return in Deansgate, Manchester. There was only one male staff member present, and no other customers were in the store. When I told him I wanted to drop off an Amazon return, he replied that no one was available to process returns that day and asked me to come back tomorrow.

I left the store, but about five minutes later, I remembered that Amazon's website states that returns can be dropped off at the post office until 9:30 PM from Monday to Friday. So, I went back to the post office. By that time, there were many more customers, and I saw the staff working hard to serve them. When it was my turn, I repeated that Amazon's website says returns can be dropped off until 9:30 PM and asked if he could help me process it. This time, he replied that the system was under maintenance and couldn't process Amazon returns.

I felt discriminated against because other customers had no issues picking up parcels or making returns, but I was denied the service I was entitled to. Finally, I told the staff member that I would report to Amazon that if the system was under maintenance, customers shouldn't be directed to that post office for returns. Only then did the staff member agree to process my return. I don't understand why I received different treatment from other customers or why he lied about the system being down and unable to process returns.

Putnoe street post office

Putnoe street post office
what poor customer service!!!!!!!!
23rd july i posted 2 letters , which i asked for a signed delivery, and paid for that service. Today i checked , had they been delivered, and for that information ,I found one was delivered and the other states still pending delivery but can assure we have your letter, At the post office i sent it from!!!!!
I went in to the post office this afternoon and explained the situation and asked what was happening .
the young ladies response
"well that means it must be lost now"
"i paid for a signed for service"
"they dont scan it when its picked up , it goes to Birmingham ,
we cant guarantee it will get there for a signed delivery, you should have got special delivery and would have got there the next day!!!"
What a service-NOT
she never checked her system
she never offered a solution, her parting shot was
"we are a post office and dont work for royal mail, take it up with them!!!!"
working in a customer service sector _ the first thing you do is apologise for the situation you happen to be in
there was no apology, customer care, or solutions to my predicament
i was an inconvenience who needed to be moved along
Not impressed ,Puts you off using that post office

Parcelforce banned in Morrisons post offices

The post offices in supermarkets really need to stand up to Morrisons. I had two prepaid parcelforce items 127x13x13cm and 1.5kg. Well within parcelforce limit but they were refused as Morrisons have limited size to 60cm. No exceptions. The post office and parcelforce need to make Morrisons respect their size requirements. I used to use Gresham avenue post office in lowestoft and spend around £100 a week or more but now will have to drive 3 miles with my parcelforce items. If Morrisons cannot cope with storing post they should stop pretending to be a post office!

No delivery and no card left, where's my orders

Very unhappy, I have 2 separate orders which should have and could have been delivered 2 days ago. I've been waiting home both days to recieve a notification that "nobody was home" I live in an apartment, you have to buzz the bell... and to make things worse you didn't leave a card so I can go and collect myself. 4 times this week I've recieved notification that the deliveries were unsuccessful. The usual lady must be on holiday as before she went, I had no problems.

Also someone from your branch gave one of my orders to someone who wasn't me, luckily I know them and they came and found me.this is disgusting behaviour woth people's things

I've been onto the company I've made the orders from but Forest Hill Post Office needs to do better. All I'm asking is that you ring my bell, and then if no answer, leave a card so I can pick it up myself. At the moment I'm without money and the products I ordered with no way to get them

This morning

This morning, I went into draw money as I am travelling to abroad tomorrow. My card declined as £500 was asked to be drawn. The owner of the shop Mrs Rimmer was at the till and she did not suggest to try draw a smaller amount and made comment that I have withdrawn money in last 24 hours.. which I have not !! Later when I tried to use the cash machine in the store she asked me not to use it. I managed to withdraw money from a different cash machine for £250 on the same day from different cash machine. She was very rude and I fed that back to her. This is a small village shop and I used to go there often. This is the first time I have encountered such problem. I will not go to this shop anymore!!

Rude assistant

I went to bank coins all correctly bagged and weighed. The local counter was closed and I was asked to return in 30 min. I returned 10 mins early and quite prepared to wait. I was informed that I could not wait. I had to leave and stand outside the shop. Meanwhile shop customers were being served, just not the post office customers. Perhaps banks could review their policy of coins being banked through the post office and devise an alternate system.

No failed delivery notification slip…

No failed delivery notification slip left in my letterbox for a 48 tracked package now it's being returned to whoever sent the item so hopefully it wasn't my anti seizure medication that I've just run out of. If my seizures kill me my daughters will be under instruction to take legal action against the post office.

Frimley Green Surrey

Frimley Green Surrey, Post Office run by the most ignorant, rude man ive ever dealt with. He does not acknowledge you no hello, goodbye please or any other dialog. His behaviour is very disrespectful even my granddaughter commented on this. The shop stinks of curry which is awful and not nice. I will never use his establishment again. His lack of customer services shows badly on Royal Mail.I have lived in this area 30+ years and will take my business elsewhere.

Chocolate fire guards work better!

Mail sent on Thursday at 10:30 hrs sent 1st class signed for and at 20:30 on Wednesday they have not even attempted to deliver it to an address 30 miles away.
Less than useless.
Expensive and apparently NO PROMISES!
About as much use as a chocolate teapot!
We were told retrospectively that we should have sent it "Special Delivery" at a cost of £8.00 for a single sheet letter. Is it any wonder that the post office is failing?
Take it back into public ownership and kick out the fat cats!

Unauthorised payment query

I'm very concerned about an unauthorised payment I have raised with the PO. Usually, I've had very good service but on this occasion, I've had no response to date.
