Roots: Going Home w/Momz

At the beginning of this month, I went with my mom to her hometown, Honesdale, PA, to hang out, visit some old “haunts'” and go to the 151st Wayne County Fair – where Monster Trucks, 4H w/giant zucchini and pig races are the major highlights and fun.

JimJeanWedding

I remember a many visit to my grandparents house WAAAAYY up the hill from the town proper in Bethany (I suppose you could call that a suburb or development – kinda). Grandpa wasn’t all that thrilled about my parents getting married, but he sure did love his granddaughters.

He would bundle us up and take us to his favorite bar each night we were there and we would have chili burgers and drink “soda” (sometimes we had beer) out of those old Welches Jelly jar/glasses and listen to old soldiers, factory workers and coal miners tell stories and dote on us.

welchesjelly

I remember hiding in the library, which was a little house that didn’t look big enough to hold more than 50 books. When I was a little girl, the house/library was huge, smelled of old books, newspaper and wood and was the most magical place in the world to me. I hid under the entry hall table with a book and read all day. The library is still there.

I remember Day’s Bakery and the special holiday treat of Lebkuchen cookies. Guess what! Day’s Bakery is still there and they had Lebkuchen’s available in AUGUST! GO US!

I remember shopping on Main Street and going to the movie house. The only movie I remember seeing there was Fantasia. The movie house is gone but we still found great shopping on Main Street, although we had no idea how all those consignment, antique and nic-nak shops stayed in business there.

I remember the giant star on the top of the hill that was lit up every night. The Star is still there and is now a memorial park.

It’s funny that now that I am doing triathlons that I look at roads in a different light. How difficult would that ride/run be? What is the incline or elevation I would have to climb? I came to the quick conclusion that there was NOT.ONE.PLACE in Honesdale or any of the surrounding area that I would dare ride my bike as the climbs are IMHO damn near impossible. If you need a HEMI truck to get up the hill, then my bike certainly aint gonna make it under LisaLeg power.

It was a blast of a trip down memory lane with my mother. We had a great time and just so you know…you have not lived until you have YEEEEE HAAWWED at a Monster Truck Show or bet on your pig to win in a pig race. Good Times!

Check out the video slide show for grins and giggles.

Foto Friday: Twilight Team Edward

twilight

Princess Erin, Princess Charlee and I went to see the “midnight” (it was actually at 10pm) showing of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2

It was AWESOMMMMEEEE!!! If you’re not a fan, cool. Do you! I had a great time and this was the first time I have ever gone to an midnight opening of a movie. The audience was FUN!! The ladies in front of us brought the Edward cutout and people lined up to take a picture with him.

The battle sequence ~ BEST PART…and with the audience gasping, screaming and cheering just made it that more exciting. Without giving anything away, one of the best moments was when the entire theater, in unison, screamed “YEAH!!!! FEED HER TO THE WOLF!!”

Bella was straight up GANGSTER.

Some of my favorite lines:

Bella: “You knicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness Monster?!!!!!”

Jacob: “C’MON!! Dracula 1&2…Creepy.”

I’ll leave you with this: It's all fun and games until Alice shows ya that your future is not so bright, huh?

“The Coalition”- Film Premier

coalitionposter

This past weekend at the ABFF (American Black Film Festival),  "The Coalition" premiered and was a resounding success with two completely sold out showings. The movie and its successful premier was due to the hard work and dedication of the creative talent at Team Sizzle Films, Inc. headed by Executive Producer & Writer Terrell Suggs of the Baltimore Ravens (NFL Defensive Player of the Year) and  Monica Mingo – Producer, Director & Writer. Friend, Blogger and Filmmaker extraordinaire.

“The Coalition” - a temporary alliance of distinct parties, persons, or states for joint action.

Short Synopsis - The bad boys club is really not all that bad. Young, rich and handsome...the boys know how to have a good time. They love women, fast cars and doing whatever they want to do. There comes a time in life, however, when karma is helped along. When it's done by a group of scorned women...it can prove to be devastating.

SegWaying with the Ladies

Saturday Segway Tour of Annapolis. It was all grins & giggles till I flipped the damn thing in the middle of the street and busted my royal ass. Shit hurt, but the gazillion dollar camera was A-OK.

We had a lovely tour of downtown Annapolis followed by lunch at Prussers – which had THE BEST PainKillers & Bushwhackers on the planet – like EVER! Rounded out the day with some light shopping with the Queen Mum (new beach hats, bags & replenished the cigar stash – ready for the OC Vacation).

IMG_0928 IMG_0924

You should take the time to check out downtown Annapolis & the waterfront. Makes for a great weekend excursion.

Side note: Organizing an event for the Usual Suspects is like herding cats – damn near impossible. I pass the baton onto another member of the Tribe.

Living Large–Living Social…Extremely

IMG_0697Last weekend, TheFireMarshall and I went on a little outing into the ROV (Rest of Virginia – aka The Commonwealth) on a LivingSocial Extreme Driving & Weapons Training Adventure…

AND HAD THE MOST AWESOME TIME!!!

By the end of the day it was reconfirmed that we are an formidable team and that the Zombie Apocalypse has nothing on us. TheFireMarshall will handle all the driving (cause he says I’m not aggressive enough-HUMPH) while I take care of all the shooting (cause he couldn’t hit the target to save our lives except when he had a laser sight).

I put together a video from our adventure…never mind all that screaming:

If you have been looking at some of those LivingSocial Deals/Adventures, but haven’t pulled the trigger…DO IT. They put on a great program, the staff is wonderful and they ensure a good time. Thus far, this is my first “Adventure” with them, but I have done cooking classes and other deals that were just as fun.

Try it…you’ll like it.

Have fun. Live Life… Large.

These Are THE Good Times

I’m here in KY with my BFF & Soror, MsPattey. I just upped and registered her for the Derby Half Marathon this past November for her Birthday – what are good friends for if not to register your friends to run long azz races for hours – and in return she got us tickets to see Diana Ross for my birthday.

Who got the better deal?

I got off the plane and we went straight to the MAC counter at Macy’s and had eyelashes put on. We had decided we were going glammed up for the concert.

              IMG_1975 IMG_1976

I am now an eyelash JUNKIE! LOVE THEM!! LOVE THEM!! LOVE THEM!! I prolly wont wear them to work everyday, but they are now a full part of my Sparkle Diva Glam routine. How did I not have this as a part of my full Sparkle?

We got to the house, glammed up and went back up to Louisville to the concert.

Diana Ross was AWESOME! She is a true performer. She sang all the favorites and a few Billy Holiday tunes and did FIVE wardrobe changes. FABULOUS!!! Enjoy this little clip I put together from the concert.

Next to the Tina Turner Concert, Diana was just…great music & entertainment. Have you seen her in concert?

Off to pick up our race packets…

SuperSTAAAAARRRR!

My company selected me to participate in the making of a sales training video around “Advancing The Sale” and, of course, I was a natural…as described in the feedback sent to my regional & district managers:

On behalf of ______, _______ the Brand team, and the crew, thank you for participating in the video shoot Friday!  You were such a pleasure to work with and professional too - it was amazing how you could cry on queue to deliver that riveting emotional component we were looking for in script 7.  Kidding aside, we had an amazing 3 days of filming –11 videos over 3 days and everything went off without a hitch.  This could not have been possible without great talent such as yourself, so again thank you.

I’m just saying.

So, if need a gorgeous (yeah, I don’t have a self-esteem problem AT ALL) yet professional “actress” for your film, video or tv production…I’m available. How about a reality show – “Real Working Girl of DC”? I have great comedic timing.

I’m ready for my close up!

The Ultimate Milestone Party

I threw a party last Sunday after the Zooma Annapolis 10k to celebrate several milestones:

The FireMarshalls’ 46th Birthday

The FireMarshall & The TravelDiva’s
24th Wedding Anniversary

28 years of love & friendship between us

23 years of Friendship with MsPattey – HandyHOTness

               anniversary  beforerace

It was an awesome party! The crabs (thank you Benny!) were tore down. You savages. The ribs were slap your momma delish (thank you Darren!) OMG! Those drinks…Seriously…I think I am going to have to buy me one of those slushy machines. GMa Sandy put her foot off in some Bourbon Slushes. I put together the batch of Pain Killers (yep, there was no pain had). Princess Erin…hell, I don’t know what she put up in that machine but let me tell you…SLAMMING! My classmate, Ron Pachenco brought an entire CASE of fabulous wine. YOU ROCK – and apparently the wine rocked too as it was consumed in great quantities. Thank you to all of you that brought gifts & cards & just yourself to celebrate the fun!

The weather was on our side and despite it getting a little steamy, we rocked the back yard with music, line dancing, eating, DRINKING, talking, DRINKING and just having a great time. There were so many hilarious stories and things going on that it would take me days to go regale you with them all. Next time…you just need to RSVP yes or if you did and didn’t show, well, you missed it.

You missed the impromptu line dance class, my sister inviting some “relatives” (distant relatives) over & the subsequent TP movie unfolding, the boy who got into the “adult beverage” machine and promptly spit it back into the ice bucket (NOT HIS GLASS), the intense discussion about being a sovreign citizen –(still getting the O_o from all of us and the FBI), the skirt chasin’ after married women, the politico’s who were promptly handed a Pain Killer and ignored and SOOOO much more.

I had a wonderful time!…what I can remember. As MsPattey’s daughter told us after the 10K…”Let the Debauchery Begin” and we did. Enjoy the video!

Call Me "THE MIXOLOGIST"

Yesterday, I attended a New Years Eve Brunch at CreoleInDC's with a bunch of The Usual Suspects. Good Times!!! Well, as is the tradition, we usually concoct a new drink. Last year we came up with "The Usual Suspect Sparkling Cocktail" which consisted primarily of champagne and White Cranberry Juice.

To a professional drinker as myself, the original Usual Suspect Cocktail is kinda like drinking koolaid. I took it upon myself to come up with a new cocktail to ring in the new year utilizing the resources we had on hand.

Utilizing what you see in the picture above, we created a new cocktail to ring in 2011....The Unusual Suspect - cause we are an unusual lot. Here is the mixology - more or less.

The Unusual Suspect
1 1/2 cup of Absolute Mandarin
1/2 cup of Triple Sec
3 cups of White Cranberry Juice
Juice of 1/2 of a lime

Adjust to taste.

Happy New Year!

Cookie Exchange & Holiday Party

Last night I hosted my first ever Cookie Exchange & Holiday Party (well...the cookie exchange to be exact...not hosting a party, LOL) and we had a blast. Everyone brought a dish, a confection (didn't have to be cookies if ya didn't want to) and a gift (optional) for a gift exchange.

The food was fantastic, the confections were divine - especially the chocolate covered red velvet cake balls provided by G-Baby - and the games & gift exchange was a blast. The picture below is the result of the "Christmas Tree" Game we played. Take a piece of green paper, fold in half, put behind back and try and tear a Christmas Tree out of the paper. These are the results. Ummm, yeah...that one (bottom row, 4th from left) is G-Baby's rendition. We were all wondering what could possibly be on her mind. Bwaaaahaaaahaaahaaa!!!! The men folk acted as judges and MrsC was the winning tree (bottom row, 2nd from right).

She also won the ornament scavenger hunt. I hid a pickle ornament amongst all of my indoor decorations and sent everyone on a hunt to find it. I wonder if it had anything to do with her love of pickles & having a baby on the way made it a cinch for her to find. Hmmmm....MrsC cleaned up last night.

We had a wonderful time laughing, talking, singing and just having a merry time. The men folk retired most of the evening into the theater which we dubbed "The Man Cave" and only came out for feedings.

I think this will have to become an annual event. I had a wonderful time...and I promise to make the Christmas Trivia game a tad easier next time.

Merry Christmas!

For Colored Girls - A Few Thoughts

For Colored Girls Photo

Last night I went to a screening of For Colored Girls at The Charles Theater in Baltimore. I
wasn't quite sure what to expect after hearing so many reviews that slammed it. I decided to go with an open mind and decide for myself. I am NOT a film critic by any stretch of the imagination. Thus, these thoughts on the film should be taken as just that - just some thoughts I had from the movie, not some kind of deep analysis. Roger Ebert - your not gonna get.

The screening was hosted by a two theater professors (I didn't get my pen out fast enough to catch their names) and one of the professors - almost in a spoken word cadence - introduced the original work...

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf is a choreopoem - "it is a not a poem set to music with accompanying dance steps, but rather an integration of speech, movement, gesture, and music...[the poems] discuss the pleasures & dangers of being a black female." The Professor went on to discuss the original authors' (Ntozake Shange) thoughts about the Rainbow. From an interview Shange explained
“The rainbow is a fabulous symbol for me [….] If you see one color, it’s not beautiful. If you see them all, it is. A colored girl, by my definition, is a girl of many colors. But she can only see her overall beauty if she can see all the colors of herself. To do that, she has to look deep inside her. And when she looks inside herself, she will find
love and beauty.”

Our host went on to say that no matter what you think about Tyler Perry and his body of work, no matter which camp you are in regarding, she asked that we simply look at the work - see if these women find Love, God, The Rainbow within themselves...and "loved her fiercely."

That's how I watched the movie and I didn't even think about it being a "Tyler Perry" production.

So...what did I think. In the context outlined above, he did a pretty good job. A bit heavy handed & over the top, a little too long to get to "the rainbow within" and I think he missed a few (or I did) but overall, I give it a B/B-.

Here are some of my other random thoughts throughout the movie:

  • Anquish! Betrayal. Heartbreak. - at a level & intensity I have never known in my own life
  • Is there ANYONE is this movie that has just ONE redeeming quality?
  • Is there ONE man in this movie that isn't the embodiment of every horror in a woman's worst nightmare? ...there was.
  • Janet Jackson's character had THE best monologue on being/saying sorry. EXACTLY!
  • Loretta Devin's character had a great monologue as well when she finally had had ENUF.
  • Phylicia Rashad - you still got skills girl.
  • Whoopie's character...I don't think her character was supposed to come across as funny, but it did to me.
  • Marcy Gray too scary crazy to a whole new level.
  • All the male characters (except for one) - DAAAAAMMMM!

Overall, I believe Tyler Perry did a good job with this piece of work. Oscar worthy - well, if I use the same reasoning/criteria for that Sandra Bullock movie that won last year - then definitely. Ignore the critics, be your own - you'll take something away with you that makes it worth the admission fee.

Dinner with Friends

This was definitly a action packed, fun filled weekend. It started with a Dinner Party in honor of one our favorite bloggers - ForNot over at Forward Notion. We had such a wonderful time...especially if 6 bottles of wine and a huge bottle of vodka (for the Halloweeni Martini's) was any indication or the fact that we didn't wrap it up until about 2am. Just fun times.

The FireMarshall even got into the action and hooked up Pandora and we used the kitchen floor and our makeshift dance floor - ROCK, SKATE!

Here is a video slide show of the fun times. Enjoy!

MyGetTogether - Any Excuse For A Party

Well, it really doesn't take much to get me to throw a little get together. MsSmart told me recently that I need to have a "Welcome Fall In" Cocktail Party. Juanita & my MIL consipired on FB to throw a party at my house and invite me. The Queen Mom is no better with her "what's on the agenda for this weekend" quips.

...and when the people over at General Mills asked if I would be interested in being a MyGetTogether host for their Chex Mix Snacks "Game Day" get-together where me, my friends and family can sample a trio of flavorful and fun Chex Mix Snacks during the big game (or whatever activity I dream up), I couldn't resist. We are going to mix and mingle with Chex Mix!...and some fall cocktails that I have already started dreaming up.

Ya'll know that I'm "The Mixologist".

A lot of you have already recieved an email invitation - go ahead and pull it out of your spam box or open it up and RSVP so I can have enough cocktails & snacks for the festivities.

If you didn't get an invite and would like to hang with the TravelDiva and Welcome the Fall Season in with a bang, then drop me a note with your email addy and I'll send you an invite.

I look forward to seeing you on Oct 3rd. *click glasses*

Mom's Views from Senior Week

I'm back home from being the Kool-Aid Momma for Senior Week. I survived, but I'm tired as hell. The kids were great, well behaved (for the most part) but ya know I had to sleep with one eye open and both ears open to keep things on the up and up.

I only had to Release the Kracken a couple of times and like I said before, the "good" kids snapped to and corrected their ill advised ways while the ones who were looking for trouble scattered like roaches. I really hate saying this, but while managing 15-20 teens as well as the riff raff that came in from locations all around OC, I noticed that there is a significant difference in how black & white kids are raised and their reactions to discipline. You see, for the most part, the black kids are accustomed to getting yelled at, threatened with violence, beat down and respond accordingly with a "Yes, Ma'am" and behavior adjustment. The majority of white kids (except the ones with crazy azz white momma's like mine) look at you like you violated them, they want to talk back, give you the side eye and rebel more. They don't know that kind of bullish will only make a Momma like me INSANE and start crackin' skulls. I thought it was a fluke, but I had to warn way to many white kid that if I got another o_O about my instructions I would poke said eye out of the socket.

Go figure.

The other thing that just sent me over the moon, was these young girls thinking that there are absolutely no consequences to ho'in. That little hookah that decided to stay out all night with her MAN after explicit instructions were given that we were rolling out at 10am and if you ish wasn't packed then you was gonna get left didn't know who she was dealing with. I told them kids to put her shyat in a trash bag and leave it on the deck...if she ain't here, let her momma come pick her up for her MAN's crib somewhere in OC. DA HELL I LOOK LIKE.

Humph. One of the other girls was all sympathetic (yeah, I bet I know why wit your stank azz attitude and behavior too) and begged the Prince to go and pick her up. You BEST be glad he was raised right and showed some mercy cause if I was doing the driving (I was staying for the day with the Queen Mother) that heffa woulda been left 'splaining to her mother why she was not sleeping where she was supposed to be.

HO'ISH BEHAVIOR HAS CONSEQUENCES. I'm gonna need some of you little suziQ play ho's to wise up.

Why are girls just always require HARD AZZ lessons & a beat down. JEEZE.

The boys (Prince Jordan & his crew and Charlee's crew) that were on the trip all achieved their Young Men Badges. I was impressed by their respectful behavior, cleanliness & chivalry. These boys were raised right. They can be rowdy, loud and dabble in a little bit of shenanigans but if I gave any of them the o_O , scolded or asked them to do something - they were on top of it like stink on a dog.

I was so impressed. Why are boys just so much easier?

I got such a kick out of all the kids yelling - "MAAAAAHHHHHHMMMMMM!" in unison whenever I showed up. I'd be walking on the beach to try and take pictures or they'd catch me on the boardwalk and everyone would turn around like - DA HELL? All dem kids hers?. Funny.

All in all, I had a good time. Nobody got hurt. Everybody arrived alive...and they are still talking, telling stories and laughing about Senior Week 2010. I'm glad they had fun and it was my exhausted pleasure to be a chaperon.

Enjoy this video of some of my pictures from the week.

A Whirlwind Weekend

The madness that was this weekend started on Thurday with Princess Charlee's 18th Birthday. Unfortunately, I had to attend a workshop that evening so the Queen Mother and Princess Erin held down the fort with an evening of sushi & cake.

Prince Jordan, Heir to the Empire, arrived home from his first year of college (a solid 3.3 GPA mind ya) as well and by time I walked in the door that evening, he had his boys and a young lady (NOT FATAL ATTRACTION - thank God) all posted up in the home theater watching movies.

Wasting no time.

Friday night was Princess Charlee's Senior Prom and I was like a mad woman running all over town picking up groceries, wine & decorations for the Arch for the Pre-Prom Getting Ready & Prom Picture Party. I know I looked crazy when I walked back in the house. And to top it off, the kids decided that they didn't want to go out to dinner since there would be some food on the boat (The prom was held on the Star of Baltimore) and wondered if I would prepare some lite fare and/or dinner for them. Despite the fact that I cursed, fussed and mumbled under my breath, I whipped out some stuff and made a chicken & rice casserole and some mango salsa w/chips. I also made a pitcher of Side Cars to gird my nerves.

They didn't even eat. Sigh.

Saturday morning I got up and made Huevos Rancheros Omelets & Mimosas for the prom goers that managed to come in around 5:30am from the Post Prom Party at D&B. They ate that like savages. The rest of the day was preparations for Charlee's 18th Birthday Bash that was to go on that evening in my basement. Umm Yeah.

The party went off without a hitch. The music was WAAAYYY to loud for my taste, but then again I'm old and can't party like I used to. She had a DJ & a friend of Princess Erin acted as bouncer again. Shame when you need to have a bouncer...just in case. All was going well, they shut the party down around 1am and then...well...somebody just HAD to get all violent and loud. Some guy decided that he wanted to put his hands on some girl - the girl & her possee decided that they was gonna get loud w/some neck-popping and talk about whoopin some guy azz. The Prince was trying to corral people and get them to take it down about 20 notches. The bouncer was dealing with another crazy group on our front lawn....AND THEN...

It was time for The FireMarshall. Lawd Jeeeezus! The FM jumped outta the bed, put on a pair of flip flops & a baseball cap and went outside in his friggin pajamas and went all LOUD & OLE SKOOL on these kids. He yelled & cursed so loud bout getting the F$#K off his GOT DAMN LAWN, bout getting da HE -double L off his MFn' property, walking back & forth, throwing his baseball cap on the ground, practically foaming at the mouth - that a hush came over the crowd as if Moses had just parted the Red Sea. Teens started scrambling, fight didn't even get off the ground, all was okay. Prince Jordan's posse (Kevin, Kenny & Garrett) are standing behind the FM (with dey played to much beer pong selves) saying "Yeah Mr. Steptoe! We got your back! This is some buullshyat! Deyz ignorant!"

Umm, yeah boys. Stay back. Let the crazy black man do his work.

The FireMarshall comes back in the house and the posse, Prince Jordan & Princess Charlee's top mafia regaled stories about how they thwarted the rumble in the country.

I'm telling you right now, it was the BEST HOUR OF REALITY TV EVER!!!!! Pure dramady.

This morning I made CornBeef Hash Omeletes w/a Spicy Ketchup Sauce - served with hash browns & bacon and we all told stories from the weekend adventures.

I now have a short break until Princess Charlee's Graduation (June2), the Graduation Party (June4th) and playing Den Mother again for Senior Week in Ocean City starting on June 5th.

Kill Me Now!

So...how was your weekend?

Friends, Food & Football

Superbowl Sunday is upon us. If you didn't get your Fa.ce.bo.ok invite it was because we are not FB friends or I thought you might live too far away (like in another state) to come over. No intentional slights were made with the invite.

So, if you would like to join us for some cheering & good times with a bunch of great people, watch the game in HD on the big screen (or just hang out) and have great food & libations and didn't get a FB invite, drop me a note in the comments and I'll send you the particulars.

We look forward to enjoying another ANY GIVEN SUNDAY...SUPEBOWL SUNDAY with you.

Nintendo's Girlfriend's Gaming Guide Party

originally uploaded by NintendoGirlfriend'sGuide4.

While there can be a lot of drama going on here on these innernets, there are a lot of great things that happen too.

A blog and twitter friend, LivitLuvit, invited me to a Girls Guide to Gaming Party hosted by Nintendo. I had wanted to tryout the new Nintendo DSi and play those Brain Teaser games (gotta keep the mind sharp, ya know) and this was just my opportunity...I might even get some free stuff.

The GGG was held at a gallery/loft kind of a place that was very spacious and open. It was set up with four stations (couch areas) that were decorated with the theme of the game we were supposed to test out. While we were playing the games, we were served YUMMY hors d'ouvres, wine, champagne and other assorted beverages.

We picked a station and then played the game for a while giving glib and/or insightful commentary that was taken down by these cute "Nintendo" Ladies all dressed in black. They were just so nice and KEEEUUUTE and made sure that everyone was having a great time. After you finished a station, you received a cold coin...kinda like the ones you had to get when playing SuperMario or DonkyKong. When you got all four coins then you went to the "red chair" area where you learned about the WiFi, PictoChat, Picture capabilities and online shopping features on the new DSi.

You then turned in your 4 coins and WHALA! They gave you a brand new DSi system with 1000 coins on it..I downloaded two games. Why was I the only one squealing like I just got let loose at a St. John 75% off clearance sale. Yep, I acted da fool.

But that's not all...after the group photo the Nintendo Ladies came out with gift bags with a game - BrainAge & a bracelet...the VERY game I wanted so bad - WHY - cause my damn BrainAge is 64 - DA HELL. I gotta get in some work.

I don't know how LivitLuvit pulled this off, but it was a big hit. I was the oldest woman in the room and told the Nintendo Gaming Ladies that they needed to come back to DC and let me pull together a whole new demographic for them to test the machine and games on...35/40 and up. I bet you the crew I pull together would give them some good marketing material.

Bottom line, I think Nintendo has it going on with the Wii and this new DSi. Keep up the good work with making gaming fun for not only the guys but the ladies too!
