Maybelline Color Tattoo Beige-ing Beauty
The new Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Spring 2014 collection
is finally available in Shoppers Drug Mart. Okay I finally stumble across it
last week but in almost each store, the displays were so picked over that the
only things I could find were the Color Show polishes, a couple Glaze blushes
and the black Color Tattoo which didn’t interest me. I finally found a display that hadn't been decimated!
The product from the Dare to Go Nude collection that intrigued me the most were the Color Tattoos. They come in 6 shades which are limited edition. There was only four in the display.
The six shades in the collection are;
- Pure Nude
- Beige-ing Beauty
- Nude Compliment
- Sleek and Spice
- Caramel Cool
- Stroke of Midnight
I choose Beige-ing Beauty because it
seemed different from anything I had in my stash. The others seemed to be close
cousins to some of the ones I already have; Pure Nude to Barely Beige, Nude Compliment
to Tough as Taupe.
Beige-ing Beauty looks very pretty in its little glass
tub – it comes off as a golden champagne when
applied. The consistency of this Color Tattoo was creamier and more emollient
than my other permanent Color Tattoos but applied pretty much the same.
Unfortunately it was not very opaque and building it up
just made a creamy mess. It comes off more as a shimmer/glitter overlay.
It creased on my eyelid at the 5 hour mark when I tried to get it opaque by applying layers. The next time I tried, I applied a lighter
layer and it lasted all work day but it wasn't very noticable other than the glitter.
I had hoped that this Color Tattoo would have been more opaque. I guess am going to have play around with it more to see how I can use it. Maybe overtop of other shadows to give it a little glitter pop?
Were you able to find the new Dare to Go Nude Color
Tattoos? Did you have a favorite out the new Color Tattoos?

Thanks for the review and info. Every display I come across of this Maybelline collection has been picked apart bare so I haven't been able to try out anything.
ReplyDeleteThe display I found un-ravaged was a smaller SDM right by my place. All the big stores were totally rummaged through. I like the tattoo but not enough to run out and buy them all.
Deletecool color :)
